About Friends of Africa Foundation

Friends of Africa Foundation was formed in 1999 and is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. Friends of Africa Foundation mission is to bring together an international community of individuals interested in conserving Africa’s wildlife heritage through empowering its people.

The Friends of Africa Foundation's goal is to improve the lives of rural communities bordering conservation areas in East and Southern Africa in the following program areas:
• Education
• Health Care
• Income Generating Activities

Friends of Africa Foundation generally carries out its mission utilizing the local capabilities of the Africa Foundation (www.africafoundation.org).
